Award Winning 10'4" Clipper CaravanAfter searching for years for the right Retro caravan to do up, I discovered "Claris" at Phreeway Caravans in 2012. Paul sold her to me as a rebuild project and so a new working relationship between Paul, "Claris" and myself began! Throughout the rebuild I relied heavily on Paul's experience with small spaces and all the myriad of regulations and rules around that. Important decisions were discussed at length to ensure they would be right and fitting for this dear little 10ft 4” 1965 Clipper. The project ran smoothly as Paul had all the other trades that were required during the process, ready when needed. The end result was an award winning Retro caravan. Claris has since won "best caravan rebuild" NZ, with NZ Motorhomes, Caravans and Destinations magazine, and sits front page and centre spread of the Australian Vintage Caravan magazine. Glory Days magazine will showcase Claris next summer 2015 as will NZ Life and Leisure magazine. I am thrilled that I was fortunate enough to come across such an artisan builder (hard to find these days). I applaud Paul’s knowledge, experience and business integrity and would recommend Phreeway Caravans unreservedly.

1968 13ft Concord rebuild
My caravan has gone from "dunger" to "superb": When Paul began work on the 1968 Concord, its windows were taped shut, it was covered in mould, the tyres were sagging, and generally it looked pretty sad. Paul began a rebuild from the chassis up. While he put in a new floor, laid the lino, insulated and rewired "Abe", I redesigned the interior. Paul was patient and knowledgeable and helpful in sourcing good product - like the fridge, lights, pump, a solar panel for the roof - at the best possible prices. Self-containment tanks went underneath. Paul always kept in touch and sent photos of progress. Abe then got a paint job and once the outside was done, magic occurred on the inside. Paul Cooper is nothing less than a craftsman. In a painless, co-operative, helpful process, he made my caravan Beautiful! I can't wait to let my Abe loose in the wild. Many thanks Paul. It has been a pleasure to know you.

From bare shell ... to modern luxurious caravan
Phreeway Caravans renovated my 20ft concord from a bare shell to the modern luxurious caravan it is today complete with entertainment system, shower, toilet, self containment, solar charging and much more. Paul was great to deal with and listened to what I wanted from day 1. It was a collaborative project that remained flexible due to my changing needs and suggestions from Paul. The quality of Pauls work is outstanding and I have no hesitation in providing this recommendation.

Thank you so much for converting our caravan. We just got back from our first holiday in our little bubble up north. When we took it for painting, the panel beater was amazed with the insulation of the aluminum. We've had so much positive feedback on how fantastic our caravan looks and how much it's been transformed from the gutted remanents of what was left. Thank you Paul, we shall be recommending you to everyone in the caravan parks we adventure to about your friendly efficient service.
Kind regards and all the best, Michelle and Grant Darrah.

"Thanks again for all your help in us procuring the caravan that has given us a lot of joy visiting the Taranaki and Hawkes Bay beaches over the summer and lengthy autumn. It tows well but most of all we appreciate that you accommodated us over the long weekend when we came to view the van in Auckland and also how you attended to the "additions and variations" which was so appreciated in the given time frame. We hope you do well in your business. Your craftsmanship is second to none!" Kind regards

Extremely happy with the work done on our old girl...
We were so pleased to find someone with so much knowledge about all types of caravans; we're extremely happy with the work done on our old girl (1978 Liteweight 2500). After sitting at the beach site for 10 years she was looking very sad in places. Paul's expertise and eye for detail has made her look like a completely different van. We were kept totally informed of his progress and any issues that arose were quickly dealt with. Thanks again Paul.

Caravan Reconditioned / Refurbished by Phreeway
We purchased a refurbished 1971 Crusader from Phreeway Caravans. Paul was excellent to deal with and we are very pleased with our new Caravan. We've taken the family out for a couple of camping trips already and had a great time - the kids love it! If you are after a refurbished classic, talk to Phreeway!

Phreeway Caravans did a fantastic job
I recently engaged the services of Phreeway Caravans to help me find a caravan that would meet my family's current needs. I found Paul's experience and knowledge when trying to find a caravan valuable; as it helped me to identify which vans were of sound construction. Once we had purchased the caravan we decided to paint and seal the outside of the van. Phreeway Caravans did a fantastic job with attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Phreeway Caravans showed good communication, competitive pricing and quality workmanship within a reasonable time frame. I would recommend Phreeway Caravans to anyone I come across who is looking for a caravan or needs to do work to their existing caravan interior or exterior. Yours sincerely

We love our caravan...
"We love our caravan, we named her Doris; she gets the looks I tell ya. We were really impressed with the follow up service too, after its first tow we had to get some things seen to & Phreeway Caravans was really accommodating. Then there's the typical 'first time user' issues, Paul had no problem with us calling a few times. I know if anything else pops up that there will not be any issues contacting Phreeway Caravans again. Just great someone cares enough to get the old girls back on the road." Thanks heaps!!!

Liteweight 20, Refurbished to live in
I wanted to find a caravan that would suit me to live in while still working, with the view of being mobile eventually. Paul at Phreeway Caravans steered me in the right direction with advice on what to look for and the questions to ask to find a caravan suitable to be stripped out and rebuilt. I found a suitable caravan and had it trucked to his factory for the refit. Paul's knowledge and expertise is excellent and he completed 'Lily' in record time. Because my budget was tight he endeavoured to find the best quality products at the best price. The result is a very smart, light and bright caravan that is a pleasure to live in. There were a couple of issues initially which were promptly resolved. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Phreeway to anyone contemplating refits or refurbishing.

Paul went out of his way to visit my Lilliput caravan at home to give me a quote for the work she needed doing. Phreeway Caravans did a fabulous job of replacing any leaking fittings and then re-painting her. I would recommend Paul to anyone; his workmanship is to a very high standard.
